Low cost, third-party lenses are good for customers and good for digital camera producers

It appears a day barely goes by with out inexpensive lens producers equivalent to TTArtisan, Viltrox or 7Artisans releasing a cut-price lens for mirrorless methods. Simply this week, I wrote tales concerning the new 7Artisans AF 85mm f/1.8 for Nikon Z mount and the TTArtisan AF 75mm f/2 for Nikon Z and Sony E.

These aren’t simply low cost handbook focus primes for smaller sensors. They’re comparatively quick, full-frame-compatible autofocus lenses, designed to compete instantly with the optical behemoths of the world. And there is not any signal of the inexpensive arms race slowing down, both. It has been reported that Chinese language lens producers are creating autofocus zoom lenses, which might actually put the proverbial cat among the many pigeons.
